Over the last few years, Renaissance Knights has grown to be the leading organization in Illinois that not only provides chess programs to young people but also instills values that will enable them to:
- Build character and self-esteem
- Develop life skills that contribute to becoming graceful winners and losers
- Cultivate a sense of community
Since 2005, Renaissance Knights Chess Foundation has been committed to making chess an important part of our schools and community. We have taught, inspired, and empowered more than 20,000 students in the Chicago area. Through structured classroom, out of school time and summer programs, we use chess to develop skills necessary for young people to succeed in school and life. Additionally, we organize Chicago’s premier chess tournaments for young people including the Greater Chicago Chess Championships and KCF All-Girls National Championships.
