Through the generous sponsorship of the tournament by SBB Research Group, Renaissance Knights Chess Foundation was able to provide free entry to the competition and 1 year membership to the U.S. Chess Federation for 180 Chicago students.
On April 15, 2015 the Mayor of Chicago and the City Council recognized the accomplishment of the top Individuals and Teams from Chicago who competed in the 2015 Greater Chicago Championship.
