Cops & Kids Chess Tournament
On Dec 9, we held our first Cops & Kids City-Wide Chess Tournament. It was amazing! Congratulations to all the students and police officers that participated in this event. C&K is a dynamic partnership between CPS, CPD and Renaissance Knights that uses Chess as a vehicle to engage and foster relationships between police officers and students.

Congratulations to all the winners and players who came out to play in our first tournament of the season. We had 221 players from 33 schools many of them playing in their first competitive tournament.

The Chicago Public Schools Department of Academic Competitions and Renaissance Knights in partnership with the Chicago Police Department hosted a three week Cops & Kids Experience at Whitney Young Magnet High School, from July 14 to August 4, 2017.
