We provide youth the opportunities to explore their city and attend tournaments around country. During these trips youth go on college visits, cultural exploration, and participate in friendly matches with local youth chess groups. Students are encouraged to participate in and become positive citizens in the community and to be advocates in their home communities as well as within their school communities.
Trips have included going to the 2018 High School Chess Nationals (Schaumburg, IL); 2021 North American Youth Chess Championship (Hilton hotel in Chicago) ; 2022 High School Chess Nationals (Memphis, TN); 2023 High School Chess Nationals (Washington DC); 2023 Pan American Youth Chess Championship (Chicago, IL); 2024 High School Chess Nationals (Baltimore, MD).
