As of 3/26/17, 386 players have registered for this year’s All-Girls National Championship taking place at the Hyatt McCormick Place in Chicago on April 7-9. With 2017 being a SuperNationals year, we are preparing for a record breaking 500+ players at this year’s tournament.
Congratulations to the winning teams & Individuals at the 2017 CPS K-8 Conference Playoffs that took place on Saturday March 18. 212 students participated in the North Conference Playoffs and 202 students participated in the South Conference Playoffs. The top 3 schools and top 4 individuals not with an advancing school advance to the CPS K-8 Championship on March 25, 2017 at Crane RTC Medical Prep .

Congratulations to the all the winners and players who came out to make this a record breaking tournament. This year’s event had 430 players representing 134 schools from 5 different states.
As of February 2 we have a record-breaking 475 advanced entries for the 2017 Greater Chicago K-12 Championships which will take place this at McCormick Place in Chicago. It’s not to late to register for Chicago’s premier chess tournament.
As of January 31 there are 418 advanced entries for the 2017 Greater Chicago K-12 Championships which will take place February 4 at McCormick Place in Chicago. It’s not to late to register for Chicago’s premier chess tournament.
On National Chess day 93 students and 7 Chicago Police Officers came out to Moos Elementary to play in our 2nd Annual Cops & Kids Tournament. All those who attended had a great time and received a free lunch of Marcello’s Pizza.

To celebrate National Chess Day we are sponsoring the 2nd annual Cops & Kids tournament at Moos Elementary School in Chicago. The event aims to foster positive community relations by bring the community and police together for a fun day of chess.

As of 4:30 pm on Friday August 12, there are 111 players registered for this Sunday’s 128th Knights Quest Tournament. It’s not to late to sign-up and play at our beautiful location, Hyatt Hotel, 1750 Lake Cook Rd, Deerfield, IL. Space is limited so sign up now!
