This past weekend 10 high school chess teams from around the city competed in the 2017 CPS Academic Chess Championship. There were approximately 116 students competed in this exciting event. This year was even more exhilarating with new schools and returning schools both aggressively competing for the crown. Along with the wonderful weather, we had volunteers from the community who came and supported the students. What a success and we look forward to next year’s event.
