20 high school chess teams from around the city competed in the 2019 CPS Academic High School Chess Championship. There were approximately 160 students that competed in this exciting event. This year was even more exhilarating with new schools and returning schools both aggressively competing for the crown. Along with the wonderful snow, we had volunteers from the community who came and supported the students. What a success and we look forward to next year’s event.
